The Deer Trail Studio Tour is an annual juried art show and sale held on the last weekend of September that showcases local artists and artisans from Manitoulin Island to Echo Bay including Elliot Lake, as well as invited guest artists from across Ontario and other parts of Canada. The Deer Trail Studio Tour attracts more than 2,000 visitors who come to view the art, chat with the artists and gaze at the wonderful colours of the season along the 200 km Deer Trail Touring Route.
The 2008 Deer Trail Studio Tour will mark our sixteenth anniversary and will be held on
Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th.
We highly recommend visitors take the two days to see the entire Tour rather than try to do it all in one day. This will allow more time at each venue to view the art and to meet and chat with the artists.
Prizes to be won:
All
participating artists and artisans donate a piece of their work as
prizes to be won by our visitors. To be eligible for the prizes, pick up
a Passport at any venue, have it stamped at each location that you
visit, fill in the information and hand it in at the last location you
visit. The draw for the prizes will take place during the week following
the Tour and a list of prize winners will be posted on this site. You do
not have to visit every location to be eligible for the prizes.
