The Elliot Lake airport terminal building is definitely unique. It is a modern facility that resembles a museum. In addition to three display cases of model aircraft, the walls are adorned with aviation related pictures and several historical artefacts are on display.

The idea of displaying model aircraft and pictures at the airport terminal is credited to Mr. Fred Mann. Mr. Mann has served many years on our Airport Committee and City Council. He had in his possession many models donated to him, and several he had built or sought for the collection. In addition, many of the pictures on our walls are on loan from Mr. Mann. His foresight has made this terminal very unique, and has inspired others to add to the collection.
